Partnering with The Franklin Institute

The Gene Editing Institute has been collaborating with colleagues from The Franklin Institute for several years. This March, we are excited to announce a new strategic partnership – working together to inspire and engage students from all backgrounds to discover a passion for science, including a foundational understanding of CRISPR and gene editing.

Our first joint program included members from both institutes engaging with The Franklin Institute’s STEM Scholars around gene editing as both a scientific and social concept. In addition to critical thinking about the implications of this new tool for hereditary traits and future cures for humans, the group explored career options including a panel of Gene Editing Institute scientists to provide real world tips and insights about jobs in gene editing.
