Amanda Hewes, M.S.

Research Assistant

B.S. University of Delaware
M.S. University of Delaware

Amanda’s research interest is on elucidating the mechanism of precise CRISPR-directed gene editing. Her current focus is on utilizing and further developing the GEI-developed in vitro gene editing system to explore the implications of complex sequence variations on the pathway of precise template-mediated gene editing in a high-throughput, cell-free environment. Amanda received her B.S. from the University of Delaware in 2014 and earned her M.S. in 2016 while researching the effects of heat stress on the transcriptomics of day 28 spleens in modern and legacy line broilers.
