Several new features are included in this version and a few of the most notable are described below. Available actions include setting a default value for a field, populating a field with the REDCap user\u2019s name, specifying that a field should be hidden on a form but visible on a survey, or, (my favorite) hiding the \u201cToday\u201d button on a date field. You can get to the Action Tags in the Online Designer, when adding or editing a field.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-320\" style=\"border: 1px solid black\" src=\"https:\/\/research.christianacare.org\/valueinstitute\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/05\/20161031_REDCapAnnouncements2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"767\" height=\"441\" srcset=\"https:\/\/research.christianacare.org\/ireach\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/05\/20161031_REDCapAnnouncements2.png 767w, https:\/\/research.christianacare.org\/ireach\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/05\/20161031_REDCapAnnouncements2-300x172.png 300w, https:\/\/research.christianacare.org\/ireach\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2017\/05\/20161031_REDCapAnnouncements2-150x86.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 767px) 100vw, 767px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Copy Existing Choices<\/strong> does just that\u2014it allows you to set up a list of choices in Multiple Choice field and reuse the same list in other fields in your form or survey.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Auto-complete<\/strong> for drop down boxes is an option available in the Online Designer when adding\/editing Multiple Choice Drop Down fields.
